3rd Lesson Of 2012 – Knowing What You Want To Create

Welcome to lesson 3.

This lesson was really a follow on from the realisation of lesson 2.

Money should be a by-product of your purpose, but what is your actual purpose?

You must have a clearly defined outcome, you must know WHAT you are trying to create before you can create it.

Why can Donald Trump make almost everything he touches turn to gold? Because rather than rushing around, he sits down and plans out what that will look like, in detail, and then goes for it.

What most people do is have a brief idea of what they want, and then they go about doing things that they see others have done to get them to the goal. So you’ll attend a seminar, you’ll see me on stage, I drive a Bentley, tell you about the holidays I take, charity work I do, people I help, you’ll say “I want what Minesh has” and then I’ll say “I did that by doing Gold For Life” and you’ll buy Gold For Life because you BELIEVE that by doing Gold For Life you can drive the Bentley, take the holidays & help the people.

And then the program doesn’t work for you. We have 92% of other people succeeding, but you can’t make it work. WHY?

Because a Bentley, holidays and charity work that I do was a dream that you had, not a knowing of what you wanted to create.

I have a KNOWING that by doing the investment strategies we teach and running the businesses that we run, the lifestyle will just be a by-product of it. But most people don’t, they believe it will.

The most successful students we have are those who KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt that Gold For Life is a plan to take care of their wealth over the long term. They are not in love with the dream I portray, they are in love with the fact that Gold For Life will help them get to the dream they want.

But it all starts with knowing what you want.

I’ll tell you a funny story, I was in Dallas speaking on stage and a day before my talk, myself, Andy Shaw and Peter Halm (director in the WMD shows we do) were sitting in the bar. I was talking to a beautiful woman and then went and joined Andy & Peter. 10 minutes went by, and I was suddenly complaining about how I can’t find my “ideal woman”. Andy, being that we’re in the same peer group and very good friends said to me “Well, you clearly have the skill to say hello, but what’s your ideal woman?”.

At which point I froze. I didn’t know. And yet I was complaining about not having her.

I get what I want in business & investing because I CLEARLY know what I want to create, the goal is clear, I take time, think about it, design it and it happens. Effortlessly.

But that was unconscious. I was doing that because “thats how I’d been taught to do it”.

In that moment, I learned that I needed to design my purpose and my design for EVERYTHING. You must know to the deepest level what you want. You must be able to identify with it.

You must know ALL parts of your “manifestation” or “purpose” in depth. To the point where you are actually describing living it.

There is no point saying you want to “make £1,000,000 in 2013” if you don’t know how that money will affect your life. How will your car change? How will your house change? How will the people around you change? Which bank will you be banking with? Which investments will you have? What will you do for fun? (when you make a million pounds a year, you can do a lot more for fun), which restaurants will you eat at? what movies will you watch? who will you be spending time with? which new people will be manifesting into your life? how will it make you feel once you have it? etc etc etc.

in DETAIL. That’s the key.

Because if you don’t know what you want, how do you expect to get it? I see so many people (I was the same when it came to relationships), they run around and they try and fit whatever comes up into their “purpose”, that’s bullshit.

Imagine how many investments or “business opportunities” that quickly turned into investments when they went south you could have avoided. Imagine you knew that you wanted to spend no more than 5 hours a week on your investment portfolio. Imagine if that was in your DESIGN for what you wanted. INSTANTLY you’d know if you were looking at courses that Gold For Life was the option and a Forex Trading program wasn’t for you.

This only happens ONCE you know what you want. You MUST design it. I take December off every year to design what I want in the next year. A MONTH OFF. That’s how powerful this is.

Because what you know what you want, you will ignore everything else and your brain, the grey matter that was created to work like a heat seeking missile can actually do its JOB and get you what you want.

The best book I read in 2012 was Outwitting The Devil by Napoleon Hill & Sharon Lechter, get it, but in there the “Devil” (the part of your mind that keeps you away from progress) talks about the number one strength of a successful person. That is Definiteness of Purpose.

ONCE you know, and can clearly define what you want, everything steps out of the way, and I mean clearly, if you can’t FEEL that life right now as you read your design, that design is weak.

And once you know, you know. And when you KNOW, everything becomes easy. Put it like this, by learning this, consciously this time, I no longer have business “problems”, I designed them out, I no longer have “frustrating dates”, they’re not possible. Because my brain KNOWS what it has to create in every aspect of life.

If you KNOW what you want, you have a chance. Otherwise you’ll be forever living in someone else’s dream that was created for you.

I’ll be back tomorrow.

Exercise: This is a fun exercise, when you get home, make yourself conscious about the house or flat you’re living in. The walls, floors, location etc… Now get this, no matter how in control you feel inside your own “home”, someone else designed that house. You are currently living inside someone else’s dream, thinking it’s your own. Think about it.

Hi Minesh,

I completely agree with you! It is so important to know exactly what you want and to really believe that you can actually have what you want, before you can get it. And to take this a little further, when you find what it is that you want, ask yourself these questions, “Why do I want this?” and “How will having this make my life different?” Sometimes, the things we say that we want are only surface things, with no real depth and when you drill down to the core of why you want what you want, you may find that your “wants” might change. I believe this is why so many of us give up on what we say that we want because they were not a “real” want in the first place. But when you get to the bottom of why you want what you want, this is when the real stuff begins to take hold. 🙂 This is how I have uncovered my real, true wants and how I know that I am on purpose! Thank you again for bringing an awareness to our lives.

The truths shared in the last three sessions have been mind boggling.
How we live in other peoples dreams and have the fantasy we are in charge.
I’m re-evaluating and redesigning my life in 2013.
My past week has so aligned to what you have been teaching and I’m grateful
to have magnetically been connected to this illuminating information.
Cheerz & thanks

Once again the perspectives given here are VERY powerful.

I have actually taken chunks of this post and added it to my Goals Document to act as reminders and to help me re-focus.

Great tips from Victoria in the comments section as well about drilling down on why you actually want to achieve what you are setting out to do…. and I mean REALLY drilling down (by asking yourself “Why do I want this / Why is this important” for at least 5 levels of drill-down).

You opened my eyes. I’m putting myself into isolation to think deeply about this.

Excellent article/lesson. In regards to your exercise at the bottom of the lesson, you can also look at it from the perspective that your design/dream was to be living in the finished product (home) and so building the home was to be the work of someone else (who’s goal could have been building this home just for resale or rental purposes). Your goal could have been just to enjoy living in it. When I look at it from this manner, the home was the product and accomplishment of two different people’s goals. A win-win.

That has been my trouble most of my life. Not now. Thanks. I will spend quality time on this one.

Great Stuff – more paradigm shifting – though I know this part and the road to the very Core – 🙂
